What's the connection of F.Piguet to Audemars Piguet?

All I know about he 33xx movements is the problems they've had in the past. What I'm wondering is if these are actually pretty high end movments?

Only an ancestral relationship between Frederic Piguet and Audumars and
(Edward Piguet) Piguet....

Frederic Piguet is an independent movement maker behind Blancpain...

Omega partnered With Piguet for the Co-design...

Early issues with the Piguet movements 33XX....most of those were
earlier models..Newer models incorporate the George Daniels Co-Axial Escapement...

In my opinion, these movements are probably mid to higher end...
