My wife's PO chrono died today

Add it to the list of problem 3313 caliber Omega chronos.
The rotor was making a loose ball bearing whizzing sound a couple weeks ago. Seemed OK otherwise. I suspect it has stopped self-winding. Time to take it in for warantee service. I hope it doesn't take too long.
Should have gotten her a Rolex.

Damn that sucks, should have got her a Marcello C and you wouldn't have had that issue. Oh and the service whould have been cheapier than a Rolex.
Did I just say that out loud??!!

Honestly my wife wouldn't have been to happy at all if that happened to her watch. And if I paid as much as a PO chrono then she would have been ready to kick my a@@.

Lucky for that didn't happen thought.
Now for the Rolex, I actually was looking at one for her but most ladie Rollies are to small. And the service on them is way to expensive IMO.
Good luck bro.

Sorry to hear it, Jason. People keep saying the 33XX issues are fixed, and yet these posts describing problems still keep cropping up. Hope it all works out for you and that the repair is completely covered under warranty (I don't suspect otherwise).
Rolex ain't a bad idea though.

Eventually, I'm going to move my wife up to a Rolex as well from her quartz Omega. She's (more than once) off-handedly expressed interest in a blue dialed DJ with arabic numerals. I'll be keeping an eye out for used ones over the next couple years. Maybe I'll pick one up for our 5th anniversary or something... that gives me 2.5 years to save up the dough.

I looked at the same DJ but at 26mm it is to small IMO. Maybe for women who weight 80lbs. or under it will work good but not my wife.

They have a men's version, Terry. That's the one I'd get my wife. She likes 36mm. It's definitely a cool watch.

Though, according to Roar: "36mm?? LOLOLOLOLOL"

To get back on track, despite the issue with the movement, I think the POC is super sexy. At 38mm, I'd rock it - definitely a great option for the Wu-wrists as opposed to the other co-axial chronos at 45mm.
I don't know why they had to go and call it a "ladies" model....

Actually that is what I would have got her instead of that thing that they sell for women. Hell with her eyesight the way it is she couldn't see the 26mm anyway. But the price of the men's version isn't no joke either. She told me that she is content with the 34mm Marcello Nettuno for now.

Well, she fessed up.... she said she dropped it on the porcelain bathroom floor this morning while showering. Funny, she wears it 24/7 - sleeping, cooking, sports, diving, etc. but takes it off for the shower.
That'll be enough to knock a rotor loose, I suspect. Don't tell Omega.
Earlier this week, we were seriously thinking of buying the $900 Tudor mini-Sub that was for sale on TZ. But it sold. Too bad. That would have been a bombproof one for her. Or maybe now's the time to pick up a Sinn U200 before prices go up (tomorrow!).
She loves the POC though and I hate to see her upset by its temporary demise. The dealer rep told me today that Omega gives priority to warantee work so hopefully it won't take too long.

Ouch. Porcelain would do it. Good thing crystal didn't crack or pieces didn't fly off. That'd certainly clue Omega in. However, the rotor issue was pre-existing, so your warranty claim is still valid no matter what.
Nice - time for a replacement watch in the meantime. Sinn U200 sounds like a good choice. I'll be interested to catch if it doesn't stick....

Or a Sinn 656 or a Rolex Explorer. She tried on an Explorer the other day and liked it. But I know she likes the diver style. I got her a small quartz SMP300 a couple years ago but she didn't like it for some reason.
I contend that women are harder on their watches than men. They wear them like we men say we do.

You are so right my wife beats the shit out of her watches. Her is a not so good pic of her Nettuno that is only a year old.

Best to have a wife who doesn't wear watches. I lucked out. She used to, and I'd pick up some cool Japan-only model very year when I was there, but now they just sit. Tried vintages, tried everything. She doesn't like diamonds or gold either.
