I have a question for you, are you still happy with your PO, how is the size? Any other thoughts, I'm consolidating some watches to get the same PO model you have, from the pictures it looks perfect. I've had a 42mm PO 8500 that I still miss so I'm hoping this one is even better!mattcantwin wrote: ↑Sat Dec 29, 2018 9:22 amThis is a follow-up to a previous post:

I received the new Seamaster and didn't remove any plastic; something about it bothered me.
Over several days, I looked at it and put it around my wrist a number of times, ultimately decided to return it to Topper's.
Here is what I did not like (apologies to anyone who loves all of the following).
the new bracelet design had no "soul" and looked cheap in comparison to what it replaced
the way the bracelet hinges straight across at the lugs
the hollow triangle around the lume pip
and most importantly, the over-all look of the watch; the large markers; more tool-ish than I wanted.
By the way, the new wave dial is very sharp and a plus in my book.
Eric said that he planned to check the watch out at Jared's. I didn't realize Jared's was an Omega AD and headed over there to see the Omega line-up as well as some other watches (Tudor, Breitling, Tag, etc.)
I've never seen the PO 43.5 in person and love the new look (glossy dial/bezel); very similar to the SMP-C.
The bracelet has been modified at the lug ends, a different case back; the fit was perfect.
I decided this version of the PO was what I was looking for and got in touch with Rob.
He took the Seamaster back and I was able to get a used PO in exchange.
Pictures below from Topper's.
In addition to the strap/clasp, the purchase includes the bracelet.
I can't say enough about how helpful Rob has been throughout the process; a great guy!
Thanks in advance.
Mark

Re: Out With The New
Absolutely no regrets, Mark.
I haven't given a thought to swapping out the strap for the bracelet, yet.
However, when I tried the watch on at the AD, it was on the bracelet.
I was surprised how well it fit (end links have been redesigned).
I had the larger PO previously and feel this version is a much better size for me; but no getting around the fact that it is still thick.

Thanks Matt, you pushed me over the cliff, I will have one next week same setup as yours with the rubber and possibly the bracelet as well - if someone can buy my watches I'll have the bracelet also LOL. This is a crazy "hobby".

Mark
