Saw this elsewhere on the interwebs, but looks like even Astronauts had to go thru customs to clear the cargo and flight crew:

It doesn't surprise me.
One of my friends works for a Federal agency and he travels abroad regularly. I was surprised that he still needs to go through customs when he returns to the US.
