Heres one I picked up for chump change on the big auction site. A little vintage seamaster caliber 500 circa 1957 or so. The dial was refinished at some point in its sad life. Rather poorly I might add. Not sure what to do with this one yet. It keeps chronometer time. It may get resold as I don't need a fixer upper. Who knows, Kirk Rich may have a go at it later down the road. I kinda like the proportions. I just may keep it as a beater.

IS that a stretch bracelet? Man, my dad used to wear those on all his watches.

Yup a speidel. Normally I just toss them in the garbage but I don't have a spare strap for this one. I can't tell you how many people over 70 I see wearing them. They must pass these things out at AARP meetings.

Funny, I was in a local jeweler's...hasn't be updated since the early 80's, and the Spiedel spinner is fully stocked on th latest twist-o-flex options from 1975....just waiting for the next big fashion trend...

Nice piece. I'm really only into dive watches, but lately, I've been interested in older Omega Seamasters. They carry a lot of history. Congratulations.

Thanks guys. It has a nice case and the movement is in very good shape but it does have one of those 10 foot redials. Looks nice from 10 feet but....
At any rate I'll sit on it for a while. It's been in my possession for a few years now. It was purchased before I knew what I was doing in the vintage world and it didn't break the bank.

It's been a long while since I took an active interest in anything watch related. so please forgive me for being a bit of a tit on this one. What's wrong with the dial? I only ask so I can learn everything I forgot whilst having my brain sucked out by Facebook over the past year or two.

Unfortunately I dont have a macro of the dial. If I did you would see that the script was poorly redone and misaligned and the minute track doesn't hit all the markers right. It is a piss poor refinish and quite frankly if I paid for the refinish it would have gone back for another try. I don't understand why people accepted such poor workmanship when the original dial probably was in decent shape to begin with.
