PO Liquid Metal

Post by tmw » Tue Feb 01, 2011 6:03 pm

Ok. The more I see this the more I want one...

anyone out there have one yet?

and more importantly - why do I want one? It may be the thrill of the hunt. I dont know.

I spent the afternoon calling every Omega Boutique. And they all were laughing. With long wait lists.

I have a 45mm PO black already...

help...

Todd, I think the money would definitely be better spent elsewhere. Plus, would you be okay with the size? All the watches we've seen so far are large (ap diver, omega at gmt, po 45)...

I like them, but not for what they're asking. Especially if I already had a standard one. Good luck with the hunt. When they first came out it was like finding a unicorn.

My two cents here, Todd. You've already got the best PO version out there, imo of course. I've got the same with orange numerals and I am perfectly content with it and actually prefer the matte dial, painted numerals and standard bezel insert. In short, the 45mm PO, 2200.51, works perfect for me. YMMV, and it is your money brother, but until Omega drops the 8500 into the PO, I'll stick with what I got.

It still is chasing a unicorn. Ya gotta admit, there is the thrill of the hunt and the flip in this crazy addiction of ours...

Matt - you are right...I tend to wear and prefer bigger with my 7 1/2 inch wrist....and I had and flipped a 42 PO already...

me thinks it is a bit of lusting for what you cant find...and there are better watches around to spend on...

ugh. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Brad...you are so right....I switch off between the rubber, mesh(!) and bracelet on the PO, and most of the time is on rubber...and it is a keeper...

an 8500 in a PO is a slam dunk. :headbang:

I've tried it on, and prefer the regular PO. The Rolex ceramic is miles better (not that that has anything to do with the conversation).

An 8500 PO is what I'd like to see.
