Whats the current value on a vintage Omega seamaster 300

Post by River Rat » Mon Jan 10, 2011 6:50 am

What is the going price for a vintage Omega 300 seamaster diver.I belong to the NAWCC and a member there has been after my vintage Depollier one of the first dive watches ever made but it's small by today standards it's really a museum piece I bought on a weem and did not know it was worth double what I paid for it.Most of the time I spend that kind of money is some thing I can put on my wrist I know he has a big collection and I said you got any thing good in your collection for trade he said what would you want and I said a vintage Omega Seamaster 300 my buddy was next to me and I know you got one I serviced it for you so now I got him thinking about the trade. And one thing about most NAWCC members no fakes. So I am wondering whats the value of a real vintage Omega seamaster 300 diver to see if it's a good trade.

Original gets more than refinished. The Watchcos are going used around the web for used $1800+ or so these days. They sell them new for about $3000 these days (partially I think because Omega is clamping down on selling all the parts [sans movements] to make new watches) There are 3 on eBay now -and 2 require asking serious questions about what may have been replaced, Genuine originals that aren't frankens (and this is a minefield) can go for much more, $3500+.

This is a old time collector my guess the one in his collection is a original and not a watchco version the last Depollier I saw that sold on the net was a little over 3000.00 it was on the sellers watch site for a few years before it sold so I guess it would be a good trade. And thanks for the info.I hope he does the trade.

Beautiful BT Seamaster 300!

Yep, the NAWCC is such a great resource. It's where I got my $60.00 SM300, off a pocket watch/clock guy. 552(1)...FTW!!1!

That is awesome. I've been kind of wanting an SM300 for a little while now. Other purchases have come between me and that goal, but a man can always dream, right?
