Anyone ever own a 3rd gen dynamic?
Anyone ever own a 3rd gen dynamic?
They seem like pretty cool watches at fantastic prices today.
My concern is serviceability once Omega finally put the failed 'dynamic' name to bed. From my reasearch they released a limited panda chrono version which may have been a means to exhaust surplus.
But pound-for-pound the chrono and non-chrono versions seems like a steal today, assuming they can be serviced. But I'm more interested in the non-chrono with the omega 1108 version of the 2982-A2.
And at 36.5mm, although small for many, a cool alternative to the IWC Mk. XVII (with a lot going for it) and arguably the bastard modern version of the early omega arrows. Seems like a cool NATO wearer for the smaller wrist folk.

Honestly, it is super underrated. Like a Hamilton Khaki, they look okay in pics but in person they are a super nice watch for the price. I was impressed by both of them. And they are all dial so they look more like a 38-39mm. It would be a stellar one piece nato watch.

There's a serviced one on recon and toppers has one listed. They look nice but they aren't for me, don't need another 36mm watch.

As far as I know their movement is based on the ETA and therefore you will be able to find people to service these. Ofrei even has parts like dial and hands. I assume that they also have gaskets and crystals. I saw a couple of these on sale recently, although their price used to be more affordable. But I personally always liked these.

Got one but the crown thread is stripped. Bought it used here in Japan for $800 at the time. Great watch IMO. Gotta see if the crown or tube thread is shot....

I have both on bracelet. Wonderful watches very easy to read. The only issue I have had is the size, if they were just a little bigger. Almost forgot the bracelet on the non-Chrono is a bit of a hair puller.
