I know there were outright fakes of the U1 and U2 at one point, so this doesn’t surprise me, as I think most of the parts for fakes are being used to make many of these AliExpress “homage” watches.

Yeah, I'd be hard pressed to call that an Homage. That's a total copy with different writing on the dial.
