I have a feeling these will have a higher secondary value. Maybe a dwc’r will give it up at price but the fact 150 will be gone in about a day tells me the demand is high.

There are only a few left, and nobody here flips watches, so you better grab one now!
I doubt this will be flipped. The likely reason U1Pros were flipped is size / weight, but that won’t be an issue here. You can surely get out without pain, so you might want to jump in quick.
If Ben bought one, at least one will get flipped...

Now 24. That’s 2 in 30 min. What a payday for Sinn to offload this many watches at once.

If 69 was available, I would have grabbed it. However, this is what I really want:

I can see how you'd be cross shopping the two.

I hate all you lucky people :banghead:
There's nothing like a good number 2.

They all compete for a spot in my watch box. Once it's filled with gone ones, that's it for me. I need to keep room for:
Day Date
Explorer 1
white dial Explorer 2

Just messing with you. That's a nice list. Are you working on a new Explorer, or talking about a prev gen?

I’m torn on the explorer. The old 36mm is slightly better looking IMO but the new one is way nicer and probably cheaper from an AD. Unfortunately the nearest AD is two hours away so it’s probably impossible to source one story retail.

Do you still have your new 36mm? If so, how are you still liking it?

I never did get the new one. I'm still on "the list". One of the ADs I requested it from actually contacted me in January to make sure I was still interested. I said yes, hoping they had one but no, she was just checking to see if I wanted to stay on the list. It's been over a year I think.

This will be a good year to get a regular U50 with so many of us flipping them when the Pro's arrive.

Debating keeping mine to wear on a NATO and keep the Pro on the bracelet.

It might be a good time to get on an AD list for a new Explorer. I've been noticing the gray/secondhand prices on the 36mm Explorers coming down in the past few weeks (both the older version and the new version). Prices on a lot of Rolex models are dropping right now, but the Explorer has been particularly noticeable to me. If I had to guess, I'd bet that a lot of people still think 36mm is too small. So there may be more AD availability if the gray dealers become less interested.

Yeah. I might as well call the nearest AD but I’m definitely not going to make the drive so I can “start a relationship”.

I can see how you'd be cross shopping the two.

It might be a good time to get on an AD list for a new Explorer. I've been noticing the gray/secondhand prices on the 36mm Explorers coming down in the past few weeks (both the older version and the new version). Prices on a lot of Rolex models are dropping right now, but the Explorer has been particularly noticeable to me. If I had to guess, I'd bet that a lot of people still think 36mm is too small. So there may be more AD availability if the gray dealers become less interested.
Yeah. I might as well call the nearest AD but I’m definitely not going to make the drive so I can “start a relationship”.
Send them chocolate, flowers, and a something nice to wear. I read it works on TRF.
I’ll probably just offer to blow him.[/quote]

Ben tried to “build a relationship” with 15 different AD’s and no luck. I told him next time he should mention wanting to buy a watch.

I was a bit undecided, but I finally decided to grab one of the last 5 remaining. (now just 3 left - 2 gone in the last few minutes)

I guess this is last call.

Wow. They could have sold 3-500 of these.
