Re: New Sinn U1
Thanks for posting Jay...I think it's kind of cool...I like all of the white- the handset, the bezel markings, and the indices all go nicely together.
Re: New Sinn U1
This one I don’t understand at all.
Re: New Sinn U1
I like the way it flattens the contrast between the dial and bezel.

From WatchBuys site; this could be very good or very bad.
Sinn has created a very special engraved grey dial using a decorative grinding process.
No two dials are the same as the engraved pattern is unique to that specific watch.

Re: New Sinn U1
Looks like they're going for that meteorite look imo. Wouldn't be my first choice.
Re: New Sinn U1
I don't understand it, but like the look. Will definitely hide the scratches that you get in the outer AR.
Re: New Sinn U1
IWC would call it sandpaperium. It’s highly technological process involving 800 grit sand paper rubbing the dial from 10 to 4 and then 8 to 2 directions. $14k minimum
Re: New Sinn U1
Nope. Don't like it.

Does 'DS' stand for Dial Scratches?
Re: New Sinn U1
I was thinking the same thing.
Get rid of all that extra red.

I bought a cheap watch from a crazy man
Floating down canal
It doesn't use numbers or moving hands
It always just says now
Now you may be thinking that I was had
But this watch is never wrong

Not sure about the dial, if anything I would use a different set of hands... U2 hands would be nice...

This would be nice if they replaced the dial with anthracite color.
It's a beautiful world! Gerald.

You guys know that you’d be popping wood if it was a new GS dial.

If you use a different set of hands, it’s just not a U1.CarloDWC wrote:Not sure about the dial, if anything I would use a different set of hands... U2 hands would be nice...
Re: New Sinn U1
Agreed. When we did the Pro we discussed switching the hands. Ultimately, we came to the same conclusion as you. For better or worse, those hands belong on the U1.gwells wrote:If you use a different set of hands, it’s just not a U1.CarloDWC wrote:Not sure about the dial, if anything I would use a different set of hands...
