“It works the same way as the Sinn 856 UTC. The hand constantly moves to show the time between hours, but if you activate the crown to move it backwards or forwards in time it jumps in one hour increments”.

I like this one the most of these...

isn't the stacked day-date not a UTC, only the ones with date like this

Not keen on green.
I don’t see any of these models as improvements. If I had the money I’d spend it on one of the “older designs”, maybe 104 with white dial.

Bali H’ai C works same way. Very nice trick.

I dig that green U1. Too bad you have to live in Germany to purchase one.

Printed dial is a no deal for me... Applied indices are a must.... Otherwise I feels like they are just cutting corners

Is IWC “cutting corners” here?

If you compare the hands to the U1, then yes they cut the corners off the LEGO hands

I haven’t made up my mind about the hands yet. I need to see it on my wrist. Generally, I prefer hands with a pointer that hits right on the minute markers.

This is the same as an ETA 2893-2 I believe, so a jump hour GMT hand.

I’m guessing the 7750 modifications are done by Sinn themselves using their own watchmakers.

Correct. Different movements in the watches with stacked day date displays.

What I find interesting is the Sellita 220-1 and 330-1 (day / date versus date / UTC) are slightly different diameters and thicknesses.

At a minimum this means they use uniquely sized movement rings. If the stem height is different, they might even have differently machined cases.

Ok, thanks. The “it” moves backwards or forwards was throwing me off. I guess to see local time on the watch, you could use the crown to set the hour hand to local time and then use the jump hour function to reset the GMT hand to your home timezone or whatever you had it set to.

By cutting corners I mean saving costs, printed dials look cheap to me, that photo you posted is pretty ugly

The green dial U1 is polarizing. Nothing captures me with the new offering.
It's a beautiful world! Gerald.
