Warantee problems?

Post by bloozy » Sun Dec 04, 2011 6:41 pm

I have been offered a U1 that was new in Sept 2011. That means it has most os its warantee left which is great. But... It was bought originally from the European AD and currently resides in Britain.

So my question is, If I ever need to have any warantee wotk done on it, would I have to eturn it to the European AD first or could I get that warantee work done here in the states as we would if the watch had come from WatchBuys?

Does anyony know this already or would you advise me to make inquirey diectly @ WatchBuys?

Thanks.
Regards, Leo

Ugh...asking Watchbuys anything is always a trial.

I don't know the answer, but will be curious what you find out.

even if you buy it in the US it can still be a pain to be serviced,

I would just contact Sinn directly. I have done this a few times and Sinn always responded. Had a U2 serviced and it only took about 3-4 weeks.

That's awesome. I sent a U2 in for warranty work and it took 5 months. If you contact Watchbuys, I'd recommend speaking to them on the phone. In my experience, the Watchbuys rep seems much more accommodating on the phone than when communicating via email.

This is true, but I was really thinking of while it was still under warantee.

You might have to pay import fees as well. It might be cheaper to find one state side.

Chances are you'll never need that baby serviced anyways. It's a U1
By the time you do (if u still have it) the warranty will be expired anyways.

If its a great price go for it, if it bugs ya that much just buy one state side.
