A great piece, and good job snagging one of them Peter. So cool to have an issued piece.

Looks like the Grenzschutzgruppe 9 Trooper put it through its paces. Any idea of how many years it was in service ??. Fantastic piece.

I hear they were issued in 2001 and handed back in 2009 when they were issued the newer UX... I've always liked the EZM2, this is my 4th, but the only one that remains... the best EZM2 imho

cheers,
Peter

Great score and welcome!
Many of use considered nailing one of those, but you stepped up.

I wonder where & when these were issued...like where in Germany and to which unit or squad.

I've always loved Sinn because they're so badass. I've had the UX and the U2S and am looking for a U1000....BUT....I worked professionally with units and sub-units of GSG9 for three years and never saw a Sinn. Kind of like I work everyday with SeALS who have never seen a Resco or a Kobold. Guess if there's not one for everybody then not everybody's got one.

I do love it though. It'd be great to know the history...especially with the foreign operational tempo those guys had during that timeframe...that thing has definitely got some stories in it.

Fantastic grab.

These must have been issued to Group 2 ???
I have worked with a few Special Operations guys over the years, here and there.
I see mostly digitals. Suunto Vectors and G-Shocks. Omega SMP or Rolex Subs in the Bar.
Worked with a Tac team sniper last year sporting a DOXA though.
You might try emailing them for more info. This is their actual email address, no I am not kidding.

I’m surprised you were allowed to keep that knife, Andy.

Probably couldn’t have bought it on its own in the UK.
