Hello,
I bought my doxa sub 1000t in 2009. Last month the
Clickspring from the bezel broke. My father has a very good friend who has been a professional watchmaker since the late 60’s. He has been doing the maintenance on my doxa since I got it. He had a look at the watch and says it is a very simple repair but he needs a new part. Contacted doxa and they say they don’t want to sell me the part but I have to send the watch to Germany to have it repaired, and because the watch is more than 10 years old it has to be restored. Cost 1000 euros + parts . Anybody know where to get this part or a part from an other maker watch that would fit?
Regards
Tim

Ask Jack at IWW and he might have a contact.

Maybe also try connecting with Dr. Peter Millar http://www.doxa300t.com/1000t/sub1000t.htm
He was able to save a vintage Doxa using parts scavenged from a Maranez “homage” watch (which cost about $200). IIRC in his case it was a bezel and click spring. As an aside, according to Peter, Maranez will sell you parts. You don’t need to buy the entire watch.
I think the 1000T case is similar to the vintage 300T case which is what Maranez used for their “homage”.
He might have the click spring measurements from the Maranez so you can know it will work before you buy it.
