Re: Irish Star
Wow - that is funny. Flying Doc wrote a post about a custom dial like this he had made for one of his watches. Now you can get your own copy from Maranez.
Damn. You can’t say those guys aren’t watching the forums.
This is FlyingDoc’s watch

I was trying to locate Doc's photo. Wonder what will he say about this?

Maybe one of these blatant ripoffs will scratch the itch even of it makes me feel a bit uncomfortable.
Does anybody know if Maranez runs some periodical discounts?
You can always email and ask when the next sale will be or just straight up say you’ve been wanting to try one and ask if they can give you a discount.

Of course it’s a $1500 watch. We can’t all be wrong.
Try a Doxa rather than a blatant rip-off.

Re: Irish Star
i bet this same dude had maranaz make these watches since it seems like he is promoting their brand any chance he gets now that the "two dudes in the basement" are no longer a part of doxa. he should be banned for pushing them on the doxa forum. but bo likes his panties

I just saw on WUS that Flying Doc said Maranez asked him if he’d be OK with them making that dial and he gave his approval.toxicavenger wrote: ↑Sun Jun 05, 2022 10:21 ami bet this same dude had maranaz make these watches since it seems like he is promoting their brand any chance he gets now that the "two dudes in the basement" are no longer a part of doxa. he should be banned for pushing them on the doxa forum. but bo likes his panties
Apparently, that Irish Star design is already sold out.
FWIW, I’m also one of those guys who thinks Doxa is a bit overpriced (300T specifically) for the spec’s. I bought a couple from Joma (assuming they ever ship) for $1,300 each which seems more in alignment for me.
I’m hoping to be happily surprised and to stand corrected regarding my value perception after the Doxa’s arrive.

Speaking of those Joma Doxas. Has anyone anywhere actually received one?Ryeguy wrote:I just saw on WUS that Flying Doc said Maranez asked him if he’d be OK with them making that dial and he gave his approval.toxicavenger wrote: ↑Sun Jun 05, 2022 10:21 ami bet this same dude had maranaz make these watches since it seems like he is promoting their brand any chance he gets now that the "two dudes in the basement" are no longer a part of doxa. he should be banned for pushing them on the doxa forum. but bo likes his panties

Re: Irish Star
he was asking maranaz before to make some custom dials. so i assume they have some line of communication going on.Ryeguy wrote: ↑Sun Jun 05, 2022 2:34 pmI just saw on WUS that Flying Doc said Maranez asked him if he’d be OK with them making that dial and he gave his approval.toxicavenger wrote: ↑Sun Jun 05, 2022 10:21 ami bet this same dude had maranaz make these watches since it seems like he is promoting their brand any chance he gets now that the "two dudes in the basement" are no longer a part of doxa. he should be banned for pushing them on the doxa forum. but bo likes his panties
hopefully they won't start making knock-off (fake) blacklung dials.

There is a long thread on WUS talking / laughing about it.

Thanks for coupon heads up guys! I've been wanting to try out the Army and the 20% off plus titanium case pushed me over the edge. First watch purchase in over a year.

Joma has just deleted all the Doxa's from their site. The last guy who tried to call to question his order got hung up on by Joma CS.
It doesn't look good for those Joma discount Doxa's.

Re: Irish Star
Yeah this is such a weird situation. I haven’t been following on WUS, just seen posts here about it. I never ordered one; but I wonder what really happened. Did Doxa get involved and strike the hammer on the dealer who was shipping the watches to Joma? It’s just so strange they would put them up for sale and then never got them, nor never posted anything about what happened.Ryeguy wrote:Just an update:tattoo chef wrote: ↑Sun Jun 05, 2022 5:11 pmSpeaking of those Joma Doxas.
