Doxa's 130th Anniversary Sub 200 models

Post by AtomicTom » Wed Mar 13, 2019 10:30 am

Not sure if everybody has seen Doxa's new 130th Anniversary SUB 200,
and SUB 200 T. Graph Chronograph yet.

First, is the Sub 200 with it's 42mm stainless steel case, 200m WR,
box type sapphire crystal, uni-directional turning bezel, black velvet
dial with cool hands, and markers coated with "Light Radium" Super
Luminova. In addition you have the ETA 2824-2, and cool bracelet.

Next the T.Graph Chronograph adds a 43mm 18kt. red gold case,
200m WR, a sapphire crystal, patented uni-directional bezel, semi-
matte orange dials with nice sub-dials, and "Light Old Radium" Super-
Luminova coated hands, and markers, reconditioned new old stock
Valjoux 7734 movement, and orange rubber strap, or bracelet.

All they had to do is make the Chrono in SS and it would sell like wildfire. :banghead:

Interesting isn't it Jeff, and Patrick?! ..Yesterday we saw Omega's gold Speedmaster
Apollo 11 Anniversary L.E.'s, and now today, Doxa is going gold.

Guess it's just an anniversary thing guys. :)

I like the one that’s not equivalent to setting a pile of cash on fire.

The 200 isn’t bad...like the pre-Sub. Hate the red second hand

Gold...yeesh. The Tgraph isn’t bad otherwise.

I’ve never seen a Star Wars movie. My nickname is derived from my last name, Yoder, and my fan hood, the Iowa Hawkeyes. But I would assume the Force would not be with Doxa on this one.....

Iowa is a consistent thorn in the side of my alma mater (Michigan). Football a couple years ago. Basketball this year. Watch Iowa bounce Michigan from the BTT.

Haha! Yeah, we’ve had your number in football. However the BB time is sinking like a brick at the end here. You’ll be fine if we face you on Friday.

Much like I think Omega would be crazy not to do a SS limited edition Speedmaster for the Apollo 11 50th, I think Doxa would be crazy not to do a SS Tgraph.

But I don't run a watch company and have no appetite for risk, so

With 13 pieces in total, Doxa obviously wasn't planning on selling a lot of the gold chronographs ;) I'd be surprised if they didn't release a SS Tgraph or something else special to celebrate their 130th anniversary.

Meh.

Did anyone see the Doxa forum is changing on wus?

It almost looks like Doxa is no longer sponsoring.

I guess 130 would have been a total pipe dream and they wanted something that represented their anniversary, so 13 was the next best thing. Really hard to sell 1.3 watches ;)

I’m wondering if Doxa/Jenny/Walca is taking control of the US group. Heard whispers but nothing to substantiate it.

It sounds like in the message it is not going to be an official forum any longer. Hmmm.

Yeah, they seem to have renamed it to the "DOXA Owners Club".

Rumor is they sold. Smoke and mirrors have never helped this brand.

Not feeling this one. Does the chrono really say Limited 01/13 on the dial?
