Hey all,
I bought a Sub300 Carbon (whitepearl, the full lume is amazing) this summer, and took it along for a couple of dives.
Sadly, I found out the clasp on the OEM doesn’t extend enough to fit over a wetsuit, so I had to pull my sleeve up a bit and wear the watch directly on my skin.
It’s kind of a bummer, because the clasp/rubber strap combo is otherwise very comfortable but it doesn’t work well for diving…
A rubber+pin buckle strap could be a good solution, but I am not finding any that would fit.
I am curious if anyone else’s had the same problem?
Cheers

I use a Hirsch Pure on my Carbon Divingstar.
"We'd better synchronize our watches."

Any 20mm strap would work. If you need serious length I'd do a nato or erikas.
Re: Sub300 carbon strap over a wetsuit
Thanks! Both look like good options.
I was looking for something that would preserve the "integrated" look, perhaps by just replacing the clasp with something like this:
https://www.strapcode.com/collections/d ... 017bk-20mm
But it's not clear that it would be an improvement over Doxa's clasp.
For others looking into this in the future, I also asked Doxa directly, and they said that the rubber strap with the folding clasp is the only one that's compatible with the SUB300 carbon.

That’s funny, I was just reading an article about this watch last night. Your watch is amazing, I’d love to see one in person one day. Congrats!

How thick of a wet suit are you wearing?
While the image of the clasp is blurred in Ben's last photo, the clasp appears to be the same ratcheting style as Strapcode's. Strapcode states their extends 10mm which I guess might work with a 3mm suit, but I could see it being not enough for anything thicker.
My solution would be to find an accordion style long strap that will fit over your wet suit, such as a Hirsch Extreme.
In my experience, thicker neoprene will compress a bit as you decend and those accordion ridges will work to keep the watch snug as the suit thickness decreases. It is actually (IMO) a brilliantly simple solution to a problem (and better than a ratchet mechanism you'd have to mess with during your dive).
