Lume dropped out of pip on on BB58

Just noticed the lume has dropped out of the pip. What are my options to fix it without sending it away?

If under warranty, send it away
Even if not under warranty, have a chat with Tudor and see if they'll fix it for free.

I don’t know how AD’s work in the UK, but if it were me and I didn’t want to be without the watch for several weeks/months, I’d bring it to an AD with a Rolex certified watch maker and parts account.

Tudor might fix it even if it isn’t under warranty. Pretty common issue unfortunately.

Actually happened to my 58. Bought one of those lume kits where you mix the binder and lume powder and filled it with a toothpick. Smoothed it out and it looked OEM.

Thanks guys, although I didn't buy it new, I think it's still under warranty but I've not had time to get the paperwork out yet to check.
I have an authorised Rolex watchmaker a couple of miles away and also a Tudor & Rolex shop 15 miles away so I'll see what help they can offer.
I'd rather not send it away for weeks or months if there is a lume kit I could fix it myself with so I'll look into that option too.

If you go this route, think of the fun you can have with the rest of the lume kit.

I phoned my local Rolex/Tudor shop and although they don't do onsite repairs they told me the turnaround time on warranty work is about 3 weeks at the moment. That isn't too bad although the lume kit does seem a quick and easy fix as long as the colour matches. A different colour of lume in the pip might be nice too but would that devalue the watch as it would look non original?

I’d personally keep it all original and let RSC take care of it. A mismatched pip will absolutely devalue the watch.

I'm very tempted to take that route even if I stuck to the original colour lume as I don't want to devalue the watch, not that I plan to ever sell it but my kids might want to one day.
As it's only around 3 weeks for Tudor to do it I think I'll go with that plan but if the lume ever drops out again it may well have to be the fix kit.

It's back from the Rolex/Tudor repair centre with a new lume pip. They had sent it back with comments on the paperwork about the strap not being Tudor so couldn't vouch for it being secure on the watch. The AD said Tudor were fussy about things like that. It's a Vanguard rubber strap with original Tudor deployant and Tudor spring bars but it came back not fitted to my watch and no spring bars at all. I complained to the AD and they posted me two new Tudor spring bars
The paperwork also stated that the bezel was scratched and that the case back was dented. Well I used my loupe and can't find a single scratch on the the bezel insert or bezel itself and the case back isn't dented either. Can't imagine how a case back could get dented anyway, very strange.

They often make statements about dents & scratches to cover themselves if it doesn’t come back perfect.
