 That's unreal. Are they really all his? I don't normally think about monetary value, but there's some serious coin there.

Yeah, usually when we think of high-dollar, we think of guys like Amine or Donut who have stellar modern collections.

But Mike Wood's got FAR more sunk into just a handful of those watches than either of 'em (I think - haven't checked on their collections in quite awhile).

Crazy to think how much people will pay for an old watch.

There all his from what I read and seen from his post he has been collecting watches for years and knows his stuff when it comes to vintage Rolex and some he proberly got years ago when you could get a good price like the Military ones I bet he got when the Mod first sold them who would know back then one of the military ones would sell for the price of a house good for him for being a wise collector.

There not all the same. The Military issue have sword hands and military dial and case marking, there are the ones with red lettering on the dial, there are the early ones with out the crown guard and kind of gold colored hands. The Rolex sub has went threw a few changed threw the years and looks like he has every one of them. And there mite be one of those ones that dive co had there logo comex on the dial they gave to there divers in that bunch that's a rare one.

I have all ways tell forum members to buy vintage they hold there value and it's better than the stock market depending on what one you buy.I bet any Rolex sub with out the ceramic bezel since they are not made any more would be a retirement account get one for 3500-4000.00 just a guess and 25 years down the road some nut that wants it real bad will give you 20.000 for it no other watch does that happen to other than Rolex. You know I just mite have to start saving for a 10 year old sub and in 20 years when watches will not matter to me because I am a really old fart by then sell it you know that crazy idea mite work.

Man. That's staggering. Pretty humbling, when you consider he probably went after each one with intent, for a specific difference from each other one he ALREADY owned. The knowledge, to keep yourself out trouble on a bad buy alone is impressive.
