All this does is make me want an Explorer more.

Re: New Ranger
if they are gonna piss on the dial lume why didn't they continue pissing on the hands so they at least match?

Re: New Ranger
I really want to like this Ranger (nice case size, in house movement, nice bracelet and clasp), but the photo of it next to the Explorer just killed it for me.
I recognize it is less than 50% the price of the Explorer, but for $3K, I would really like something other than a printed dial that looks like it belongs on a $500 Smiths Everest (not hating on the Everest - it fits my expectations for the price point).

It definitely looks better in pictures where you’re not looking at it closely…

Re: New Ranger
I’m glad others think that. I’m looking at it next to the Rolex and while I don’t have the cash for the Rolex I still wouldn’t get this Tudor. It looks awful.JP Chestnut wrote:It doesn’t compare well against the Rolex IMO.

Re: New Ranger
My favorite part of Rolex oyster bracelet is the center hump of the solid end link next to the case. Why does Tudor insist on making the bracelet look like the the end links are hollow folded. I remember passing on a no date 5 digit sub and getting a date model solely based on a crappy end links on a non date one
Re: New Ranger
Some people prefer this style of end link because it lets the link lay flat, which works better for smaller wrists.Panerai7 wrote:My favorite part of Rolex oyster bracelet is the center hump of the solid end link next to the case. Re: New Ranger
Because that makes large watches fit better on small wrists. Omega is doing the same.Panerai7 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 11, 2022 12:50 pmMy favorite part of Rolex oyster bracelet is the center hump of the solid end link next to the case. Re: New Ranger
I think it works. Stopped by my long time AD and he knew just what I was after. They arrived today.
Bracelet & clasp are nice, but not Rolex level - as expected. Clasp not quite as nice as Glidelock, but works well and a solid upgrade.
Matte dial is nice. Domed crystal too. No edge, just curve.
Original plan was to fit this bracelet on BB58, but the latter has brushed sides and I’m not sure it’ll work as I like. Maybe if I want to invest the money in having LAWW fully brush the BB58 case.

Re: New Ranger
The top picture looks a lot less good than the bottom one. The head on shots aren’t flattering to this watch.

I love it. Feels like a better proportioned Ranger.
Re: New Ranger
I really think a base Pam would look fantastic on you. I’m a sucker for 12,3,6,9
Re: New Ranger
Ranger bracelet on BB58
Re: New Ranger
Thanks. I was thinking fully brushed bracelet needed brushed case, but noticed my 14060 has fully brushed bracelet and polished sides of watch case.
