Picked this up yesterday morning after a call from the AD. Was the first one they got, and I appreciated first dibs.
I am new to Tudor, so this is my first piece from them. Right off, I LOVE the Opaline white dial, which can show as light silver or gray, off-white or chalk, depending on the given light. The black bezel and sub-dials definitely even out the overall Panda look, which is another first for me. The case is 41mm plus the pushers, so it wears a bit larger than the new Submariner, but the fit and feel of it is very similar, with the case on this being a tad taller.
The movement winds easily when the crown is unscrewed to position 1, and feels like a Rolex movement when I am winding it. The date set is easy enough, and sets without resistance from position 2, and finally the time at position 3. I also love that the crown is a screw down, as do the Chrono pushers, and the overall water resistance on this is the same as a standard Submariner at 200m or 660ft.
The rivet bracelet and snowflake hour hand are nods to Tudor’s vintage roots, but I don’t dislike either enough to not wear this often. The bracelet is 22mm at the lugs, with the slightest taper to 20mm, and the clasp is the same as before. Overall, I find the bracelet to be very comfortable, but wish they had a simple micro-adjustment option like the new Rolex divers.
