Land-Dweller. . .

Post by Jeep99dad » Mon Mar 31, 2025 4:37 pm

For me, there are a few reasons why it’s a no go.
Only precious metal I would prefer stainless steel or titanium
I would prefer a clean dial without the pattern or perhaps a linen dial. Between the pattern, the jubilee and the fluted bezel, it’s just too much. It’s not very cohesive in my opinion. Just too many things drawing attention
Finally, with the date on the dial, I don’t like having just a six and nine. I would prefer markers at six and nine or no date and have 369.

At just under $25K Aus, I'm not their target market... I'm putting this crazy $ into my cars, and have way more fun..
Strength is = 2 or > than "tipping over a so- called smart car plastered in “Coexist” bumper stickers".

Does absolutely nothing for me, especially at that price. Would get an old school DJ instead.

Just looks like they tried way too hard with this. I wouldn't be a buyer at a tenth of the price, nothing about this speaks to me.

Unless I’m mistaken, they are offering it in SS. They have a model with a retail price around $14k, which is definitely not 100% gold at that price.

I kinda like it but isn't "land dweller" technically an explorer?

They should have abandoned the typical rolex names and made an entirely different name.

If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.

I think the 6 and 9 just kill it, if it was no date, 3-6-9- would work. With the date, should be a date just dial, all stick indices, and a simpler finish on the dial, solid blue, or white or black.

I agree. It would look MUCH better with a regular run of the mill DJ dial. The flashy case combined with the flashy and weird dial really sucks. I hope they offer this with a normal dial at some point.
