I like it although, when I look at it something doesn't look right...
maybe because I am used to seeing the cyclops..I don't mind the cyclops.....
I also like the Seadweller...

Pretty much summs it up for me as well.

Now I love it. Hey would Rolex do that for you or do you have to take it elsewhere? I may have to try to get one of these one day.

Looks like you have to replace the entire crystal. Ouch...I bet that's expensive.

I think there's a thread here where someone mentioned something about Rolex replacing a crystal in a watch and the cost for the crystal alone was somewhere around $400.
I like that Sub sans cyclops. Part of me thinks it needs it given the date window location but I still dig that look. Might have to consider this at some point down the line.

Buy a sapphire from ofrei or wherever for 50 bucks, swap them and put the original crystal away for later.
I want to get a crystal press and learn how to do this sort of thing myself. It should be very simple.

Not a bad idea, shap. I was thinking OEM parts from Rolex, provided you could even get them to send you one, which they probably would not. Does Ofrei sell Rolex crystals or at least one that would fit the new sub?

You just need to figure out the measurements of the crystal and you should be able to find a suitable generic replacement. There's nothing particularly special about Rolex crystals (despite the salespeople telling you that they're 10000% scratch-proof!!) that I know of.
Esslinger.com has lots of crystals in stock btw.

But yes that does look good.

Wouldn't it be nice if Rolex discovered they could actually put a/r coating on the whole crystal.
