Looking for a Donor Watch!

Hey folks! John had a brilliant idea. We are looking for someone to donate a watch case that you might have laying around. You would score extra brownie points if the watch has a cushion case of some sort. The idea is to have Brian D take it and do kind of a feasibility study on doing the cases where he works. Reverse engineering at its finest.

If it's a cushion case and has hooded lugs, that's a bonus!

Just looked at it again. Lugs are short, but not hooded. Will try and take some pics, but getting ready for a vball tourney today.

i already offered this one, really cushoned case, and hooded 20mm lugs. but no one replied when i offered it in the first place.



You guys can take it apart and measure it, as long as i can get it back.....its one of my faves

Either a donor case or Graeme's drawing would do. Case would be a little easier so we can physically check the dimensions such as angles, radius, and other things.

If I have a drawing when we check and get the dim. then write down and put them on there. Pretty much a complete reverse engineer. Normally we get a print and program from there.

Late to everything today, sorry I missed out on the weekend fun. I can take some measurements inside the sumo case Derek. I'll give it a shot tonight.

If Derek cant use it, it`s yours Dom. I bought this brand spanking new some years ago and beat the shit out of it thrue the years, its still ticking along nicely but the bezel is loose and falls off if you`re not carefulle. Think I`ve lost the box and papers, but Ill have a looks see when the time comes.

I'm willing to let the Seiko 6309-7049 be used on two conditions: 1) I get it back and 2) somebody qualified removes the movement first. I might give it a shot (always wanted to remove a movement). So as long as #1 is met, the cushion case sweetness that is the Seiko 6309 I humbly offer unto thee.

Hey guys as Noah is really putting a lot of options out there for a Seiko cushion case shouldn't we try to push ourselves just a little and choose something slightly different?

For sure a cushion case. Just my 2 cents.
