And maybe a polished edge on the case like this?

Maybe something like a Deporte case
A partially shrouded bezel like that might be a cool touch!
I guess at this point, we need to see which general design holds the most interest for most people. An internal or external bezel. Seems like the internal bezel is getting a lot of play so far.

awesome work Graeme
I like the first case as is with an external bezel. the only thing that i might change is to curve the case to contour the wrist (ala Dwatch)
the two crown version is reminding me too much of the new Zixens

One thing to consider on an internal bezel is that it will take space away from the dial.

I like the first set of drawings slightly better, but both look good. 42-44 millimeters seems a pretty ideal size to me. The one crown model would seem to simplify many manufacturing concerns. Keeping to the KISS method would probably be a good idea for a first design.

Not a huge fan of solo 4 o'clock crowns. I'd prefer 3 o'clock, personally. And since it's a manageable size, shouldn't need to worry too much about the crown digging into the wrist.
Two crowns would be interesting though :D.

I love the idea of an internal bezel, but it worries me that this seems hard[er] to get right on a budget.

so far so good. I like the hooded lugs and the size. 42 would be best IMO. Too many microbrews are 44 and up. It woul dbe a nice change. A single crown I would prefer at 3:00. I still like the 2 crown internal bezel idea, but it may be cost prohibitive. One thing about an internal bezel is that you could get some bitching color combos. I'm pretty opposed to a stainless steel bezel. I love inserts for the color factor.

NOW this is what I'm talking about! SUPERCOOL
+ I would add drilled lugs and knurled crowns so it looks toolish as well

It's just outstanding that we have Graeme here to do the mock-ups
We've also got knowledgeable people here that surely ought speak up if any feature we discuss would be difficult to manufacture and/or cost prohibitive.

The only thing that may be a little more costly is the hooded lugs. Drilled lugs would be a little easier to machine. Hooded would require either broaching or EDM sinking. I could find out what the cost of both would be.

If it looks anything like the case of Roars Speedy MK4,5 I`m in
That case fits my girlywrists even at 42mm.

Agree with D on the "bitchin" color schemes on an internal bezel to make this watch more unique than a lot of the offerings out there, maybe something like these?-pics stolen from ebay, not mine

I like the idea of throwing some color in there. But who says we can't do that with an external bezel?

At first I wasn't too keen on the idea of a cushion case or hooded lugs. I don't own any, so am not speaking from personal experience.
Now I am starting to come around. It may be nice to see a little bit more detail in that area.
I prefer 22 mm lugs, which would be more toolish if they were drilled.

Any thing less than 22mm between the lugs looks like a girly man strap on my wrist.
And i dont even have big wrists!

LOVE the original mock up
- Hooded lugs are great, and adding drilled lugs would be nice
- Cushion case- my
all-time favorite
- External bezel, as it keeps it less complicated, keeps the cost lower
- Partially shrouded external bezel would be quite interesting...
- 22mm would be a great lug width- plenty of modern straps to choose from
- Love the idea of vintage-colored lume
- Any chance of a snowflake hour hand?

I love the first case the most...but have a question while designing these can we kinda keep in mind a smaller version for a later manufacture date? Some of us have girlish wrsits and they are supposed to be that way LOL. I think it would be fantastic to eventually have a his and hers models of the same design (because I know you guys are always bigger is better thought, but as a member I would love to have one as well....but sadly 42 or bigger would look like a dinner plate on my petite 5 1/2" wrist!)

Thanks for all the feedback so far! I think after hearing some very insightful opinions, we should go in this direction:
42mm diameter
22mm lug width
external bezel
hooded lugs
crown either at 3 or 4.
I want to post a poll regarding crown location. More people than I anticipated have shown a preference for the crown at 3.
