Sold Certina DS PH200M Blue
Sold Certina DS PH200M Blue
Sold
After a delay in delivery, this arrived several days ago. The dial and ceramic bezel are quite a vibrant blue in person; a beautiful dark blue in low light and a bit lighter in daylight. It wears large, but the lugs sit well on my diminutive but manly wrist.
The bezel is a precise 120 clicks. However, according to the Heaton requirements, it would most likely fail the ‘underwater with gloves on test’.
You might consider the polished case, gold hands and bezel numbers a bit blingy, though it does make a statement.
The lume is a nice blue.
I took it off the Included gray/blue fabric Nato and put it on a vintage Isofrane. This should also look good on brown leather.
Here’s some info on the movement:
‘Powering the Certina DS PH200M Blue is Swatch Group’s modern movement, the automatic Powermatic 80.611. This calibre, explained in details here, is an evolution of the ETA 2824 with a focus on precision and power reserve. Indeed, instead of the usual 38-hour power reserve it now comes with a comfortable 80-hour range of energy, achieved thanks to a reworked kinetic chain and a frequency reduced to 3Hz. Also, it is equipped with an anti-magnetic Nivachron™ balance spring – a titanium-based alloy that is highly resistant to magnetic fields, shock, ageing and temperature fluctuations. This combination of features and increased power reserve represent excellent value in a highly competitive landscape.’
For the price, this is a sharp looking diver with an upgraded bezel and movement. I’m not sure if it’ll stick as I have a blue UTS incoming, we’ll see if I have room for two cool blue divers.

Re: Certina DS PH200M Blue
I like this one a lot more than I expected. Somehow, it resonates for me in a way the standard black dial didn’t.

Re: Certina DS PH200M Blue
It’s nice, congrats!
BTW, did somebody tell you your wrist was manly?

Love it, but I also really like the black one I have and I don’t love it enough to have both.

I really like it! It has a bit of a BPFF vibe to it with the domed bezel insert.

Turned out great, Congrats!

I like this one a lot. The old black dial version has been on my hit list for a while now (id have one already if it came on bracelet), and I like the blue even more. Time for me to start hunting!

Re: Certina DS PH200M Blue
i have the black...got when they came out, on leather.
it's a must have 'grail' style milsub if you like this style (and i do). the 80hour reserve is a shocker as this thing just keeps going, and also very accurate within COSC standards of 5+ after a week. they don't get much better than this, tho the lume isn't the brightest, and the bezel is a little jinky in a couple of spots despite very little use and no dirt or submersion. still a great piece.

OK, I admit I too really like this one. Always loved the Milsub handset, and the FF bezel and other details somehow just "work"
