A wet track day at Goodwood in the Exige

Post by andy tims » Thu Aug 18, 2022 3:27 am

It was wet / damp nearly the whole day yesterday, which was disappointing given the weather so far this summer.

At least the big 375mm bolt on cans kept me out of trouble with the noise meters vs the 300mm cans I used previously which necessitated short shifting out of Madgewick corner.

My neighbour enjoyed his passenger laps.

How do you keep the car from hydroplaning? I agree, you are living the life.

You have to avoid the standing water. The tyres are not great dealing with big puddles at speed even when brand new, and they are far from new.

I drove my Tacoma in the rain yesterday; I suspect it was a bit different of an experience…

Damn - that looks awesome!

I live 6 miles from Goodwood but I've never been to the events. That's going to change when I retire
