Started the book after I finished the second episode.

Also checked out some stuff with Jack Carr, seems like good people, so I assume he'll be cancelled or whatever at some point soon.

I just finished the series (binge watched while traveling) and thought it was pretty good. I'm probably now on some watch list because I had to google what an EFP was.

I agree all the flashback scenes were kind of confusing, but I think that was the intent as the guy's condition worsened. I'll have to read the books to get the full experience it seems.

As for Jack Carr getting cancelled, I doubt it. I think the folks who would cancel him aren't his target audience anyway, and the folks he targets as his audience are likely immune to the cancel culture noise.

The only watch that had a real cameo was the Resco… did anyone see the Ares?

I was expecting everyone to wear JLC Navy Seals series watches. WTF! False advertising

Jokes aside I’m sure they’re all wearing gshock, some Garmin at best. The rest is product placement and fake claims

I actually stopped the show after Ep 3, and started the book, which I'm about 80% done with. I always enjoy seeing differences between written and film, but the show seems about as true to the book as possible.

Both the show and book are excellent, amongst most of the drivel out there.

One episode to go. Good show for sure! Looks like Pratt took some time somewhere along the way to at least be able to look like he knows what he's doing, tactically speaking. I always crack up when shows / movies have such terrible gun handling

Along the same lines, it was cool to see someone actually loading a shotgun, and indeed, looks like a slug change over at one point

Jack Carr is a former SEAL and had a team on set that were former operators who trained and advised. He oversaw all the details of the filming too. He’s got some great podcasts that talk about the filming. He’s a really good author and he’s also an anal retentive historian who is committed to portraying reality as best he can. Cool dude.
