I really want to, just haven’t gotten around to it yet. Sounds a bit like the old, excellent “Battle Royale” movie from Japan.

Yes. I've watched the first three episodes. It's very engaging with an interesting premise/mystery. As with a lot of foreign language films, I find the dubbing a bit distracting. I could probably switch to subtitles, but I'm too lazy.

Squid Game is definitely as sadistic as a Hunger Games plot. Like Parasite, there's a good twist that I just didn't see coming.

My wife even watched it and she doesn’t usually like this sort of show. I quite enjoyed it.

Entirely oberhyped. The dubbing was also terrible.
