No front plate FTW! Not required, or scofflaw Alfa driver?
It's required in Colorado, and has one on it now.
Couldn't bring myself to drill a hole in that curvy front end.
Ordered a plate mounting kit that screws into the threads for the tow hook.

I also, live in colorado and have an aftermarket heavy duty front bumper with winch. No place to mount a plate so I just keep it in the driver side door. Figure if I get pulled over I’ll tell them it just fell off! Lol

Yup. Unfortunately, my car is registered in one of the 31.
Same here. I've driven in CA without a front plate for 20+ years and have never been pulled over. I figure the police have better things to do. Of course now that I've posted this I'll be cited today

Absolutely gorgeous. My 9 yo son asked me the other day what my favorite car of all time was. I couldn't nail down just one, but the Daytona was the first I mentioned. IIRC, that was the last car Enzo really had a role in the development of. It had a major influence in sports car design for many years, IMO

the proportions are just so right, beautiful cars in a way that modern supercars just aren't. I was shocked when they showed in in a supermarket parking lot for cars and coffee in a little town in Pa.
this and a miura is one of my favorites.
ah yes the Miura SV most beautiful mid engined car ever made

Only time I get pulled over for no front plate is at closing time and the Cops are looking for any reason to pull me over and use it for a sobriety stop.

The Blazer is still for sale, but now he has this Suburban in the driveway. Both look to be either restored or extremely well taken care of.

Damn I like both of them. I wonder if the Suburban is a 454 version. They are sweet

It's too late - the dealer skewered the front bumper before I could stop him (car came from Pennsylvania - a single-plate state).
If the bumper were pristine, I probably would have gone with a tow-hook mount for the front plate.

That’s a shame. They make some great flippers that can be inconspicuously mounted.

Just a question.... here in Indonesia you must have front and back plates as well. On my bike that's a (small) issue as you will need to ask a welding guy to make a bracket for it. I instead make a sticker in the correct colors with the numbers on it, put it on the front wheel cover, which seems to be acceptable by the police. Would this be acceptable on cars in the US?

Motorcycles only require a rear plate in all 50 US states. Some states require front and rear for cars/trucks, others only a rear plate is required.

Thanks Chris, understood. But would a sticker with license number be allowed on the front of a car in states where front plates are required?

No, the sticker idea would not work here in the United States. The license plate must be state issued, not home-made.

In Colorado the newer license plates have holographic images imbedded in the plate design similar to what is being used on driver's licenses to prevent forgery.

I’ve seen some creative people make replacements out of cardboard here in Florida.
Surprisingly, also not acceptable.
