Not the fastest SUV, but plenty fast (0-60 4.6sec) and fun to drive. I really enjoy driving it and coming from a CRV, it’s a big change

Most excellent choices!
Re: What do you drive???
Congrats on 21 LC.
Re: What do you drive???
Interesting comparison on engine bay layout between the lc and tundra. The tundra has so much more room to spread everything out. Same 5.7 liter V8 in both.

Re: What do you drive???
That's great that they're available with a NA V8, instead of the force-fed V6s that are commonplace these days.
The Sequoia/Tundra is an excellent platform. My buddy put around 300k miles on his 2001 Sequoia with only routine maintenance.
Congratulations, those are two very nice trucks.
Re: What do you drive???
This is the last model year the V8 will be used on both the tundra and land cruiser. It’s one of the reasons we went ahead and got both!

Re: What do you drive???
I've had my '21 Ridgeline for about 3 weeks. It's the entry Sport trim but still way more tech than my old Xterra had!

Re: What do you drive???
Gotta say, I’ve never been a Ridgeline fan but this new facelift makes me reconsider. I’ve always been a Ford truck guy and while my 150 isn’t going anywhere I’d consider the Ridgeline over a Colorado or Ranger. Congrats.apnk wrote:I've had my '21 Ridgeline for about 3 weeks. Many will register, few will last
Re: What do you drive???
Congrat's to the other new car people. They all look good.

Yo Paul! Good to see you still clicking around in here
I love this truck. But I’m so impressed with the Land Cruiser. We did a 2 day offroad training course last weekend. Most of our time was spent in this beat up 100 series but then we took our 200 series out on some trails too and they’re just unflappable. Here are some more pics.

Re: What do you drive???
Oh, and re: the price, we got both from Mcgeorge toyota in Richmond and paid msrp for both. I know some dealers out west are trying to charge 5-10k premiums for any trd pros and some land cruisers. Inventory is tight everywhere. I traded in my 2018 Accord (still owed about 18k on it) and our 2010 F-150 for the Tundra.

Re: What do you drive???
I would love to do that one day. There are 3 different locations for the Land Rover one, and none of them are really close.ezcheese wrote: ↑Tue Jun 08, 2021 4:30 amYo Paul! Good to see you still clicking around in here

Re: What do you drive???
It’s worth it if you can make it happen! Conveniently, the NC location of OEX is only a little over an hour away from where we live.unsub073 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 08, 2021 10:50 amI would love to do that one day. Sup D! I was in Richmond a few days ago - have family thereezcheese wrote: ↑Tue Jun 08, 2021 4:35 amOh, and re: the price, we got both from Mcgeorge toyota in Richmond and paid msrp for both. I just bought a new Tacoma today, coincidentally, and it was 3K OVER MSRP - ridiculous. The global chip issue, other covid effects and people going insane buying everything in sight are causing prices on most big ticket items to go through the roof.
I bought now because they had the exact package I’ve been looking for and it would prly be another six months if I passed on the deal...
Anyway, congrats on your beasts!! You will have years of fun on the trails

Re: What do you drive???
Nice! yeah, at McGeorge, they usually have like 600 cars on the lot and when we picked up my Tundra they had about 40 available for sale. It's pretty much the same across most dealerships and most brands! Insane. The LC sat in customs in California for a week before even clearing there. There have been tons of ships backed up at the major ports everywhere.
We've already got over 2,000 miles on the LC! I still haven't broken the Tundra in yet. I've only got about 230 miles on it so far. Emily really wants to put a bull bar on the front of the LC for "deer mitigation" mostly, but of course it adds options for recovery too! We'll probably go ahead and do the front bumper and get a hi-lift jack. If we keep seeking out trails (which we probably will) then we will add rock sliders and a winch.
