that is the best way to tow it imo. i didn't see a tow bar hook up on the front so I wasn't sure what you were using.

my daughter loves it. so it will get the full treatment for sure.

Bought this 2001 F150 in 2007. Drove it for work all over North Georgia for years. Never let me down. Sold it last year with nearly 400K on the odometer. One of he best vehicles I've ever owned.

Re: What do you drive???
Just picked this up today. I had ordered an M240i about 2 months ago, but BMW never even acknowledged the build order, apparently they're not building convertibles right now. How this one slipped through I have no idea, but I managed to track it down as soon as it hit the port.
Edit: Ironically, my local dealer just called and said BMW had just accepted my order and would build my car in April... Oh well.

Re: What do you drive???
Thanks! I didn't leave the top down coming home because I had an hour and a half of North Jersey turnpike driving, but once we got home, we did put the top down and cruised around our area for a while. It actually wasn't bad at all considering the snow and freezing temps. My wife will likely always put the top down.jtbenson wrote:congrats Jeff!

Love that you can still get Isuzu down under.
Loved my 98 Trooper. My daughter took it over when she got her license a year ago.
It got her safely through 2 wrecks ( neither her fault) and was finally burning through oil so fast that the engine seized a couple weeks back.
I'll miss it. Found a replacement vehicle for my daughter.

Re: What do you drive???
Yes it does. She called me from the side of I 70 coming back from her first day driving of up to Copper mountain for a day of boarding.
She said "Dad, the trooper motor went tick, tick, tick, tick, boom... Then died..."
I've had is since just after she was born.

Yup, my MUX is the spiritual successor to the Trooper. They were fantastic trucks.DoctorC wrote: ↑Fri Feb 12, 2021 7:08 pmLove that you can still get Isuzu down under.

Re: 911 996 Project...
About 3 weeks ago my bro in-law picked up a 1999 996 manual as a project vehicle. Initially he wanted to set it up for the track, but has now changed direction and it's going to be set up as a great car for weekend drives.
He asked if I wanted to go halves on the project, as a track vehicle I declined. Now with his change in direction I'm in.
It's going in for a major service tomorrow, new clutch & fly wheel, IMS, RMS and no doubt a few more things we probably didn't expect but are prepared for...
In time new seats, exhaust, suspension and bushes and some very restrained cosmetic detailing will take place.
The Toyota Hilux in the back ground is my daily drive with over 280K kms on the clock, it's bullet proof and has never let me down.

Nice, currently in Aus these cars a relatively inexpensive for what they are due to a number of factors. I have no doubt that in a hand full of years people will be saying why didn't I get one of those 996's when they were X-$...Captdave wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 2:45 pmOne of my partners has a 996 as a daily driver.93 Turbo wrote:About 3 weeks ago my bro in-law picked up a 1999 996 manual as a project vehicle. Re: What do you drive???
I picked this up from my neighbour last week, a 2000 Jeep XJ Sport. It’s the 4.0L V6 version, same owner for 21 yrs. The mileage ... 140,000kms (86,000miles). I installed a new muffler, a signal lens, taillight and gave her a good scrub. For 4K ($3100usd), my daughter is happy!

Wow, that’s really low miles for 21 years and looks to be in great condition.
