Watched a pretty decent Gina Carano movie the other night - "Daughter of the Wolf". Also had Richard Dreyfuss as the bad guy. If you're into these sort of semi-cheesy action thrillers, "Haywire" isn't bad either.

No man's land is an excellent French mini series. About the elder brother looking for her younger sister who joined the Kurds Liberation Army fighting with IS in Syria.
Excellent watch and i wish they could make it longer instead of 8 episodes.

I highly recommend you not waste your time on Wonder Woman 84. Absolute trash.

Nomadland is good to watch with a cup of tea. Movie is about drifter on mobile home feeling lonely, confuse and helpless. It's kind of movie for award winning.

We just started a fantastic spy series on Amazon, The Bureau, and now it’s unavailable!

That was suggested to me, but I hadn’t gotten around to it. Guess I won’t have to.

Have you watched Berlin Station? Pretty good spy series.

Not yet. On the other hand, Babylon Berlin was one of the best shows. And Vale of Tears was one of the best depictions of war I’ve seen.

Everyone says Babylon Berlin is great, but the issue I have with it (and with Fauda) is the dubbing. I just find the voices don’t match the emotions being shown, and it really distracts me. I made it through half an episode and had to stop. Maybe I’ll try again, but I’d honestly prefer subtitles.

I’m actually catching up on Ray Donovan. It’s kind of ridiculous, but the acting is good and the stories are engaging.

Those are two of the best shows.
Ray Donavan was good for a couple seasons. Then it got ridiculous.

Peaky Blinders. I must be the last person in the UK to have gotten around to this, but wow! Great plots and awesome sets and photography.

Watched the first episode of Lupin last night (new Netflix series originally broadcast in French). Even after my railing against dubbing above, which I still found distracting, I have to say it was pretty good.

Let Him Go...We thought it was pretty good. Bonus, filmed in Alberta, where we got married.

Hoping the film industry gets back on track this year.

Foreign movie - Mosul is based on true event in warn torn Iraq. A lot of realistic gun battle between Iraq SWAT and ISIS. An excellent movie and highly recommended.
Wow. Agree excellent.
I'll put in another vote to recommend this one. Excellent movie and definitely more crazy when you realize it was all based upon actual events.

Finally (finally) been getting into Fauda - I'm enjoying it. I thought the first couple of episodes were weak, but it got better after that. I think part of it was the dubbing and part of it was the fact that most of the main male characters have scruffy beards and all of the main female characters have long, dark hair, so it took me awhile to figure out who was who.

Finished the first five episodes of Lupin on Netflix. Fun caper series - highly recommended. The second five are supposed to come out later this year.

Been watching Your Honor on HBO. Great cast, but the story is only so-so.

Wrapped up Hunters on Amazon. Started weak, got really good in the middle, and ended ridiculous.

Started The Investigation on HBO (about the murder of Swedish journalist Kim Wall). First episode was very good.

Started The Salisbury Poisonings on AMC. About the Russian nerve agent poisonings of two ex-pats in Britain from a couple of years ago. Focus is on the public health response. Two episodes in and really, really good.

Watched Another Round. Danish movie about four middle aged guys who decide to see what life would be like if they stay constantly buzzed. Interesting movie that got good reviews, but I wouldn't go out of the way to watch it.

And I thought I was the only one who got confused about who is who during movies.

Amazon Prime: It All Begins With A Song. I thought it was a really good documentary.
This is a film about one of the most important unknown forces in music: The Nashville Songwriter

I'm definitely easily confused, but here's a link to an article with a picture of the current cast. Take a look at the two guys on the left and the three on the right. I mean, c'mon!

I mentioned The Investigation on HBO above. I'm three episodes in and really enjoying it. The lead character wears a Seiko SKX007.
