All next gen 2 series are made in Mexico. They should start being released next year. Also, I'm talking about the M2 Competition Coupe. The CS is different, better, and a lot harder to get/more expensive.

Ok, never heard the Comp referred to as the CC. Yes the CS is a different beast, but it’s also 911 C2/GT4 money, and it ain’t a Porsche. I’m interested in the Comp myself. Cross shopping it with a couple of different things. Anyone here have a Mk5 Supra?

Its an Isuzu MU-X. There is an actual 'ute' version of the car called a D-Max
3L 4cyl Turbo Diesel, rear locker, hill descent control. This version has a Gross Vehicle Mass upgrade so has a payload of 1050kg. Runs on 32's with 16in rims.
It is smaller than the trucks I see many running in the States. We get the bigger Fords, RAMS, etc here but there aren't that many of them. They mostly get used by people pulling big caravans and horse floats. They are not that great for off-roading here as there are limits on vehicle mods like lifts and tyre sizes so the ramp-over angles on them are poor and they are too wide for lots of the bush tracks.
It looks perfect for what you’re using it for!

Yeah. It’s a full tube track car. 351,TREMEC, 9". Not the fastest car, but it fits the ‘if it ain’t fast, paint it red and make it sounds good’ mantra.

Cares from that era was just awesome. Even something mundane like a Prelude had an awesome shifter, seats, driving position, etc. They weren't fast, but they were fun. Now cars a fast, but not fun.

This exactly. It feels quick and fun like a go-cart but it is slow by today’s standards - it just doesn’t feel like it. I had a 2018 M3 and it was stupid quick and fast. But it wasn’t that fun.

I picked up a 2019 GLI that was also built in Mexico. Piece. Of. Shit. Spent more than half of our four months together in the shop. I’ll never by another MIM vehicle.

Fantastic. When I graduated from college in the late 90's I bought myself a new Integra GS-R. Amazing that 160 hp was considered fun back then, but it was a blast to take through the gears and rev past 8k on shifts... and made good sounds for an inline 4. Great thing about those cars is that you could wind them out and have fun at legal speeds. Now everything is heavy with stupid amounts of HP/Torque and grip.

The most driving fun I've had was in small hot hatches. They didn't have the huge numbers but were just a riot to drive for even the average person.

Yep, in College I drove an 85' Civic Si. My current BMW has 3x the HP but isn't half as much fun. Safer though for sure.

I agree. Even my somewhat pedestrian G37 has enough power on tap where it's hard to let it stretch it legs without getting into trouble.
