Incoming Caterham
Incoming Caterham
Picked up the 620S on Saturday from GP Sevens who have been brilliant to deal with.
The journey home was awful due to a nasty accident on the M25, but once home I had a good blast around some of the local roads & the car is fantastic.
It's a tight fit in the garage, with the bike & all the the other stuff despite a major clear out over the last couple of weeks in preparation.
The drive is a bit full too, as the Exige doesn't go until Wednesday
All the toys
Very chuffed.

Spectacular! I’ve always liked Catethams, even considered the GBS kit before selling my Miata NB:

My guess is the biggest difference is the car leans the wrong way in corners!

Re: Incoming Caterham
Being low heightens the feeling of speed compared to the bike but overtaking is nowhere near as easy. In car terms the acceleration is pretty ballistic, but it’s not quick bike fast.

Very, very nice. Love it.
Re: Incoming Caterham
Can't wait to see your new track day video's with the new car. Congrat's
Re: Incoming Caterham
Thanks all for the positive comments.
Had a good blast out this evening. The weather was stunning.
Conclusions -
1) When accelerating hard in 1st and 2nd it’s critical to be very smooth with the throttle. I broke traction a few times despite having nice warm tyres on warn, clean, smooth tarmac.
2) I’m getting used to the brakes, but with no servo assistance, they really do need a firm press if you need to stop quickly.
3) The car has immense cornering grip with warm tyres / tarmac.
4) I absolutely love it.
