Vintage Metallica

Post by dukerules » Thu Oct 28, 2010 10:44 am

So I'm a middle aged brown guy, and sometimes I wonder what's wrong with me, but after hearing "For Whom The Bell Tolls" in Zombieland recently (good movie BTW), I remembered how much I LOVED Metallica in the late 80s and early 90s. So $25 on iTunes later, I own these three albums:

I've owned these all in some format or another in years past, but no longer had them. And "Fade to Black," "Sanitarium," etc. still sound amazing and fresh all these years later.

That was way back when Metallica made some kickass music :headbang:
My first Metallica album was Master of puppets
I kinda like their new album though, sounds much like the good ol stuff. Seems to me they`ve found their roots.

Metallicas 80's albums are classics and my favorites in the category! Bought a limited vinyl box from States years a go, it's my Tallica treasure! :headbang:

my first was "Ride the Lightning"

never heard anything like this until I hit College and my first roomie was a metalhead....I found out early on what this was vs "poser" metal, lol

it grew into exodus/mericful fate/etc and then into an appreciation of the "classics" like Maiden

I think Kill 'em all is one of the most influential metal albums for me - my buddy and I would listen to Kill em all and garage days revisited for hours.....

Yep Kill em All to Justice are some of the best metal albums ever made-and the 1st garage days revisited.

BTW Duke I still have all of the Metallica record albums :shifty: .

These three have been 90% of what I've listened to over the last few weeks. Metallica in its prime was epic! :headbang:
