It's really too bad....The Trans AM, GTO and Catalina....all rocked.... :headbang:

Another example of the absolute mis-management by GM...

No shit....I just read that in the eighty's the Powers to be at GM thought
they would make Pontiac a luxury car division...They already had Caddy and Buick
and Olds at that time...

No more Goats (GTO).

No more T/As, Formulas, or just plain-old 'birds.

No more Ram Air.

Poor Poncho fans.

sad situation...

all comments above are right...

mismanaged company and the govt is letting them off the hook.

designs were lousy in recent years due to complacency in the r&d dept

no innovative ideas in management, engineering, sales..... spells disaster for any company and this company is vital to the US economy.

very sad.....not sure why some of the high execs were not held more responsible.

Reckon my '09 G8 GXP goes out as the HP king, and it's easily the best GM product I've ever owned.

Read between the lines :fro:
Back in those days it was a perfect go-out-with-a-girlfriend-and-do-stuff-somewhere car. Especially when you remove the 2nd row of seats. :salute:

I love the GTO, I have few model cars of Trans Am from when I was a kid, but that same dustbuster-shaped Pontiac has a special place in my heart

That's really sad, Pontiac was selling a really nice car in the G8, we'll see if GM bring it back in another form. Not to mention all the history behind the brand.
