Simply one of the weirdest, trippiest, mind-bending things I've ever seen. Was drawn to the "ScarJo gets naked" angle but that's just a sideshow - as hard as that is to believe.
Can't figure out if it's a really bad good movie ("Eyes Wide Shut") or a really good bad movie ("Starship Troopers"). Maybe its just brilliant and I need to watch it again. Maybe it just sucks. Maybe I should Google image "ScarJo nude" and save the 2 hours.
Anybody seen it?

I liked it, but I'm in the minority here. I believe it wasn't too well received in the movie thread. I thought how they filmed it using people of the street was pretty unique.

Re: Anybody Seen
I like it better this morning having thought about it than I did after I got done watching it last night.Chocodove wrote:I liked it, but I'm in the minority here. I believe it wasn't too well received in the movie thread. I thought how they filmed it using people of the street was pretty unique.
Was a little like Gus Van Sant's "Gerry": not a whole lot going on, not much dialogue . . . but you can't turn it off. With the same post-viewing reaction.

i liked it. if you try not to take the movie literally, it is better. Many of the scenes are more figurative. if that makes sense.
oh, and scarlet johansen.

Re: Anybody Seen "Under the Skin"?
It did have a couple of very haunting scenes that I thought were very original and well shot, but I hoped for a little more from it after the festival reviews.
