New arrival........Planet Ocean.

Post by snootydog » Thu Feb 20, 2025 3:51 am

I always listen to the opinions of you guys and this one got the vote. No cards or papers with it but an authentication certificate from a London company and also eBay's authentication card.
It's in far better condition than I was expecting, barely visible scratches so I'm pleased about that. Running well within cosc parameters apparently but I'll be checking that myself. I need to find a half link because of no micro adjustment on the bracelet it's a tad loose but one link out and it'll be too tight.
My BB58 was supposed to be my last watch purchase,oh well

Congrats, truly one of the great ones!

As for the bracelet fit, you can fit the 1154 adjustable clasp on it, requires two end links where the bracelet meets the clasp and the clasp itself. That's what I did for mine, makes it perfectly adjustable on the fly. Clasp used to be around $120 US now I think it's twice that - plus the links and screws/pins - so it's a bit of an investment.

Nice! I have the adjustable clasp on the PO I got from Master Wu and it's a game changer! I've used it way more than I thought I would, especially in summer when the heat seems to affect me more.

Can you put the adjustable clasp on the 2500? It works on the 8500, but not sure if it fits the 2500.

It does, done it twice. Just requires replacing the two links that attach to the clasp. I could dig up part numbers if someone was really interested.

Edit: Had parts list in an email from when I ordered, so here they are for anyone interested:

Clasp - O117STZ001154 - Quantity 1
Endlinks - O118ST1589 - Quantity 2
Pins - O128ST0166 - Quantity 2
Screws - O124ST3307 - Quantity 4

Sounds like a good idea Rob but a bit pricey. I'll take a link out and try it first. Also I'll try it on a rubber strap and as I really like Forstner bracelets that's another option

A bit less pricey, Zealande makes a fitted strip for the PO 2500, have that too, but it's an incredible strap, very comfortable, and good match for the watch.

Have a Zealande for mine, too. Nice looking and very comfy. Yours would look great with one in orange.
