Well guys, this baby is one I have had an itch for but I just never got around to scratching it until I saw something someone posted in the forums not too long ago. This someone happens to be Tim aka porschefan. I had contacted Tim regarding his post and he filled me in on the initial details of the watch. It was a watch that his AD came upon and was putting it up for sale. I immediately reacted and had Tim contact his AD and put the watch on hold. After a couple of emails and phone calls, the deal was done! I know Tim doesn't want any fan fare coming his way but too bad Tim! I am so appreciative for everything you did to make this deal happen. The leg work was not necessary and you went far beyond in your efforts to help me out. So for this, I am so very grateful. Thanks my friend! I love this watch and it exceeds my expectations. It is a pre-owned but in immaculate Mint condition. It is running -4 seconds in 24 hours so far with 1 day of cursory testing. Here are some quick pics of the Omega Seamaster GMT:

Pros:
Size : 41mm but plays larger
Movement: smooth winding Omega caliber 1128. 23 jewel COSC automatic based on the ETA 2892-A2. 44 hour power reserve.
Love the look and the GMT function. Can't go wrong with a black dialed watch! Comfortable Bond bracelet. Cool caseback design. Great Lume.

Cons:
No micro adjustment on the clasp but there is one half link. So far no problem with the fit on my 7 3/8 " wrist.
No quick date change but does have independent hour hand movement.

Overall impression: Keeper................it's my second Omega and I love the Brand!

Thanks so much Randy! We do need to GTG at some point. Where you are in Ca is really not that far from where I am in Or. You did help me get to where I am and I do thank you!

That is my favorite Omega of all. I had the Great White, but it just didn't have the luster after the honeymoon wore off. I should have got that one instead. I guarantee I'd still have it. And .... the lume is out of this world.

Nice pick up! One of the most functional GMT's

Happy to help you, John. Great pictures of that watch. Man, that is a clean machine.

Frank, I had to help, or else you, Kurt or I would have bought this one. ;)

Absolutely beautiful watch and one of Omega's best. Like David I had the Great White and I second guessed my decision as soon as I opened the box. Should have went with that one. It's a keeper. Big congrats on a great watch!!

Thanks everyone. It's a great watch. Yes, I should be using some moisturizer and I should be drinking more water. My skin is very dry this time of year

Congrats on your new Omega GMT.I am with you on the con on the bracelet about the no micro adjustment on the clasp got the same bracelet on my Omega seamaster 300 bund can never get it to fit right it's ether to tight or to loose a big flaw in that bracelet were the links are the only adjustment glad you are lucky the bracelet fits just right.Nice looking watch.

Awesome piece John  .

BTW-The no bracelet adjustment blows chimp no doubt (The only beef with Omega bracelets BTW) but a combination of 1/2 links etc should get you where you want to be. 2 half links are shorter than 1 full link by about the length of a typical clasp adjustment hole.

Still miss my 2254 at times. The SMP's are such a bargain compared to Rolex and others. Nice buy!
