I agree, but as usual it would be even better without the date window.

They used to do dates at 6 o’clock which were much more attractive. Not sure why they moved away from that practice.

My favorite iteration of this watch is the panda. Unfortunately, I don't think the 37mm case size would really work for me, although I've never actually had the watch on the wrist. I really need to go to an AD and see it in person, I love the design.

Very nice titanium too. But 37mm is a big no for me. Tiny

Lovely watch, damn shame it's not 41mm+. Their newly released diver/chrono is a really nice watch. Only prob is at retail I can't stomach the massive depreciation hit when you walk out the retailers door...

You’d be surprised. I tried one on in Orlando, and they wear much better than the number would suggest.

I need to check it out. I haven't bought a new watch in ages but this is a definite contender if it wears larger than 37mm.

I usually am a fan of the date at 4:30, but the angular date window seems wrong - 6 would have been a better choice on this model.

It's pretty much an exact reproduction of the original A384, right down to the placement of the date window. I think the date window might have looked even more strange below the chrono register at '6', not a lot of space down there.

They really do look fantastic Mike ! :excited: :) And what’s so neat is
even though the watches are vintage looking, the designs are so
far ahead of their time they will always look or be refreshing. ;)

Beautiful watches sir, thanks so very much for the report !!!

I really like this. I'm not sure that I'd love to actually WEAR a case of this shape, but it's a very nice looking watch. I even like the date!

On edit:

This looks pretty amazing:

Luming the letters in the name, inclusive of the script "El Premero" is next level. Zenith makes such high quality watches. I'm really glad that they've gone away from the VERY ugly designs that they frequently used 10-15 years ago.

Movado (owned by Zenith in the late 1960s-early 1970s) placed the date at 12 on the vintage Datron HS360 as well as the more recent Datron. Different case than the A384, but it works well IMO.

The only issue here is the chronograph hand blocks the date window. One of the new Heuer glass boxes has same look. Not a fan of this design on a chrono.
