Citizen’s new Series 8 890
Citizen’s new Series 8 890
Recently saw these new Citizens. How about you guys?
The Series 8 890 collection consists of three watches it looks like
so far. You have nice textured blue, gray, as well a salmon/copper
‘Cloud of Cherry Blossoms’ dialed limited edition. With the watches
having specifications like 40.5mm stainless steel barrel-shaped
cases, cool octagonal bezels, integrated bracelets, along with the
Calibre 9051 underneath everything.

Nice, Tom.

Wonder the movement is comparable to which Seiko movement?

These look great. I would happily wear the blue or the salmon dial.

Re: Citizen’s new Series 8 890
My new challenge diver has the 9051 and has been keeping COSC time on the wrist, gaining a bit more on my winder. It seems like an evolution of the 9015, but definitely more stable than any Seiko 6R I can recall.
I’d gladly wear the salmon, then the blue dial versions, but I’d really want an adjustable clasp.

I think the inner bezel would look way better without the shading from 0-15. Outside of that I quite like it.

It'd have to be the 6L or 8L I guess, since it runs at 28,800 bph. The one I had was very accurate, definitely a step above Seiko's mid range 6R.

Just seeing this Kempo, but thank goodness for Jeff, because I honestly
do not know, or did not know the answer to your question.
It does seem impressive though for sure, and I really didn’t even know
much about Citizen’s Series 8 before this. It’s incredible all of the cool
watches, along with collections, and levels of watches Citizen has right?!
Thank all of YOU guys for giving your two cents !!!

Citizen should have touched base here first.

I like these. The salmon/copper variant is probably my favorite of the bunch.
