Tissot’s new T-Sport Sideral S

Post by AtomicTom » Thu Jun 01, 2023 9:22 am

Has everyone had time to see Tissot’s new T-Sport Sideral?

The design really takes you back, but also off into the future too.
With details like 41mm barrel-shaped forged carbon, along with
stainless steel cases, black PVD-coated unidirectional rotating
bezels, black dials with nice colorful accents, sporty straps, plus
Tissot Powermatic 80, and much more.

A side by side of the original fiberglass Sideral next to the new
forged carbon model.

I am a fan. Dial is reaally close to the original from the 70’s. The blue has even blue mixed in the CF case. Pretty cool. I’d rock one

Yup. Kinda love these. And 300 m? Perfect fun summer watch. Be interested to see where they end up from a discounting/secondary market perspective.

I like it.

I'd like it a bit more with a standard divers bezel and not the regatta timing bezel, and without the green and red section on the dial, but otherwise, as Mike says, it is a cool summer watch.

I think they did a good job keeping it close to the original from the 70’s besides the fiberglass case being now a CF case. They did clean up the dial a bit but a good reedition

You know what is cool guys?! :) Is it was actually interesting how they
had cases like this back in the 60’s and 70’s. Which were actually like
these neat precursors to what Swatch would be doing in the 80’s and
for all these years. ;) And what’s nice about these new
versions is they made them feel very similar, but also made them even
stronger with the new case material.

They are just fun to see. Thank YOU guys for giving your thoughts and
opinions on them !!!

I wonder if they run these in the Swatch production line.

Back in the day the Swatch Rep in the North East told me Swatch had cost of production for the basic line at $7-8 each.
Wonder what the Tissot production cost would be……
