Any experience w/ Hodinkee x Blancpain x Bathyscaphe?
You wake up one day and all of the sudden you see something for the fist time that you've seen a hundred times before
Anyone want to share their experience with this one...either owned one or even just handled one?
I'd have to sell a few (I do that anyway, lol) and Limited I know but the search is half the fun is what they say?!?

Yep, my brother had one and I wore it for a while. I really liked it. It is on the smaller side, but given its simplicity it does stand out. My favorite of the Hodinkee specials.

Have a bathyscaphe but not the hodinkee one. Love how mine wears, very comfy as it has a ceramic case and the dial pops like a MFr. great lume too

No experience with one but words cannot describe how much I love this watch. I hope you find one, RMM.

I believe only 100 were made, could be wrong. Haven't seen one for sale in quite some time. Good luck with the search.

thanks, gentlemen
Re: Any experience w/ Hodinkee x Blancpain x Bathyscaphe?
my .02
owned/loved the full size bathy (ti for a few years; steel for a few weeks on a 'passing thru' trade).
during that time the 38mm blue was released and i got to test drive one for a few days so i could compare them back to back (glory days of tourbillon chicago).
i found the full size case to be far preferable for me. the 38mm felt too thick for the width, a bit unbalanced. not top heavy (a la 6-digit seadweller), just always annoyingly hunting a place to settle, whereas the larger case just planted itself right across the whole face of my wrist and stayed put. this is both on oem nato, and on my flat, bony, 6 inch . probably wears great if your wrist profile is more rounded than 2x4ish. and my opinion could have been swayed by the fact that i much preferred the black dial over the blue--the only 38mm option at the time. i'd love to be able to revisit that comparison today.
i'd encourage you to try to find a way to try the 38mm on. or, good luck with the hunt if the bit's already between your teeth
