New Rolex
Re: New Rolex
Thanks Todd,
Like the 40mm Explorer
I'd pass on the YM for a blue Pelagos or FXD
Fk the sapphire case back on the platinum Daytona, I want that case back to be solid platinum. No doubt you will be paying more for the glass display over a solid back... Maybe one day in the future I'd like to scrape some loose change together and get a platinum Daytona, but I ain't holding my breath. J

Re: New Rolex
Yes, of the new releases, the Explorer is the only one that interests me.
That said, until I can actually walk into an AD and purchase one without “lists” or BS additional jewelry purchases, I’ll just admire from afar.

I haven’t read anywhere if this DD with emojis on the date wheel and “inspirational words” (as they call it) on the day wheel is any sort of Autism Awareness partnership. If not, missed opportunity IMO and wouldn’t be the first time Rolex does shit “just because”.

Re: New Rolex
I wouldn't turn down the Explorer, but agree that it's a lot of text at the top. I think I'd actually stick with the 36mm on this one.
I'd wear that Yacht-Master, but I don't have a yacht.
Milgauss discontinued. I always liked those quirky things.
New Daytona looks off to me with the metal ring around the bezel. New on the left, old on the right. I will never own one anyway, so whatever.

Re: New Rolex
Curious if Titanium will trickle into the rest of their lineup. Guessing not since they double down on their blingy 904, but a Ti Seadweller would be intriguing.
Re: New Rolex
I think the SD makes the most sense for Ti. Hopefully shrunk down and sans cyclops again.

Re: New Rolex
I’m probably a buyer for the new Ti YM. Started a thread in the Rolex forum because I didn’t see this one.

Re: New Rolex
36. Then 39. 39 again. Back to 36. Why not go to 40 for the explorer?
It’s going to sell. And as usual be impossible to get.

I bought a cheap watch from a crazy man
Floating down canal
It doesn't use numbers or moving hands
It always just says now
Now you may be thinking that I was had
But this watch is never wrong

Did YM just become Rolexes Pelagos?

Re: New Rolex
It’s nice to see they’re introducing another RLX Titanium model. Hopefully a Ti SD or Sub will be released next year

Regret ever selling my milgauss GV... both times.
Re: New Rolex
+1 I’d be all over a Ti Sub or SD.spring-diver wrote:It’s nice to see they’re introducing another RLX Titanium model. Hopefully a Ti SD or Sub will be released next year
Re: New Rolex
Wow, Rolex is doing a bit of everything at Watches & Wonders it looks like.
I have to say, I would love just to see these in person one day, but it's incredibly
fun just seeing pictures of them I have to say. I can't thank you enough for
the report, or reports rather !!!

Re: New Rolex
The exhibition case back on the Daytona is nice, but it’s an unobtainable watch.
Re: New Rolex
Rolex is funny with sizes. They called it 40mm but it’s the same case as OP41 which is actually 39.5mm by my own measurements.

Re: New Rolex
I won't split hairs with Rolex if it is really only 39.5mm instead of 40. I just think this size seem proportionally correct to my eye, with the hour, minute, and seconds hands all correct to the dial size and dial indexes. The same goes to the lug width to the watch head width, it all seems to flow well together.
I just like the simplistic symmetry of the Explorer design.
