UPDATED SOTAC
I've been pretty happy with my "affordables"; watches I've bought for under $500 (some new, some used).
Decided to post a group shot of The State Of The Affordables Collection.

Re: SOTAC
Brilliant, Matt and a fine collection
Re: SOTAC
That definitely is a collection to be happy about sir, and even if this
was your entire collection, that would be a great collection I think.
And I love how you stay loyal to brands and delve further into them
too and get more than one a lot of times from a watch company.
I mean how can you have just one Raven, or Islander right?!
Especially when they look as nice as these, or those !
And the Ares and Seiko are so cool that they can be by themselves.
P.S. That powder blue Islander is stunning, and so is this entire
collection of affordables sir ! ..Thanks so so much for the look !!!

Here's a shot of my other divers.
Not the best picture, Great White is pretty washed out.
I also have 3 chronographs, current total is 18 watches.

You are very very welcome Matt. Yeah, wow, it certainly was a fantastic find !
This epic new picture makes it look like the waters of the Caribbean here as well sir.

Getting an Ares "b" for $500 is noteworthy. Congrats.mattcantwin wrote: ↑Mon Mar 20, 2023 11:35 amI've been pretty happy with my "affordables"; watches I've bought for under $500 (some new, some used).

That's a great gang of divers. Your affordable collection is inspiring, I'm adding to the list some fine affordables...to be found.
It's good to see so many different watches and straps close together, the different types and characters lend to the imagination.
I'm always putting something together in my head, it's good to see what fine parings have been done. Cool post Matt
Re: UPDATED SOTAC
Nice collection Matt- that Great White is so cool- I had one many years ago- certainly one I regret selling. Do you find yourself wearing one or two more than the others?

Thanks, Mike; I'm on my second Great White and I refuse to regret selling it twice.
Recently, I've been wearing the Doxa's and gray dial Trekker a lot.

Re: SOTAC
3 incredible chronos. The old Longines is stunning, a keeper. The Sinn is one I've never seen, class and refined.
I've shied away from chronos, but several around here have stoked interest in them. Great backdrop, the house, Thanks for posting!

Re: UPDATED SOTAC
Nice collection Matt.. and you cannot beat 'affordables.'
I have a couple of non affordables... however... what I do buy I buy LOW and have the satisfaction of knowing that I haven't stumped up top dollar.
But there is nothing like snaring pieces that are awesome at a great price.
Ironically... the affordables often have more indivuality than some of the expensive stuff... which simply feel like a market of clones to me right now. At the moment I am interested in things that are different... which your collection here does have.
I am thinking I need a light blue piece in my collection one day. I seen one lately on here that is a Doxa homage and that colour does appeal to me... yours here has just reconfirmed it. Obviously... I WILL be going affordable when the time comes.
Thanks for sharing.
Greg.

And this is the bad boy that I just mentioned above.
What a lovely piece and colour(s).
