New Bulova Accutron Astronaut GMT Automatic and Lunar Pilot
Anyone catch of glimpse of Bulova’s new Accutron Astronaut GMT
Automatic? Or Lunar Pilot?
Just a few of the many details include a 41mm stainless steel case
for the Astronaut, and 43.5mm stainless steel case for the Lunar
Pilot. In addition you have a nice black dial on the Astronaut, as
well as two tone bezel. Along with black, or blue and white dials
on the Lunar Pilot, with Tachymeter bezel. With the NP20 High
Precision Quartz movement powering the Lunar Pilot, and then
Sellita Sw330-1 the Astronut.
Have a look...

NIce, but aren't they over $3k?

The lunar pilot is a cool watch but always been a bit of a sales turd.
The astronaut looks pretty cool but it’s spendy.

still too big for the lunar.

Agree! A lunar at 41 would be boss.

I like that they made the Bulova Speedy a little smaller, but it could be 42 and perfect. If the street price is $5-600 I’d consider it.

Dig them both!
That GMT is killer, but there's a lot of competition at that price point...

I know that is crazy with the pricing, right David and Mike?!
Many times I never even look at the prices because I am just reporting
on a watch I think we might want to see, or know about. But yeah, a
price like this is a real disappointment. Because you would think that
Bulova would like their fans to have a shot at having one of these
kinds of watches. But instead they go the limited edition route and
make the watch insanely expensive.
Why not make a ton more of the watch and lower the price?!
And make a couple different size versions of both of these watches
for people as well?!
I’m with you guys on things as usual. ..Thanks so so much just for
giving your thoughts !!!

I really like the Astronaut... but for what it is... the price is a put off completely.
I know I could pick up a Bulova Stars and Stripes re-issue over here in the UK for £400, and that is a good heft of an attractive watch for around a third of the price.
So yeah... nice piece but disappointing.
Thanks for the share Tom

I wish they had used the high frequency quartz movement in the Astronaut and given it a more attainable price. I like it, but it’s way too pricey.

I picked up the chrono from their initial batch and love it.

I’m sure it’s just me, but a GMT without a date just doesn’t seem right.
If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.
