What do you have incoming between now and Christmas?

Post by sierra11b » Tue Dec 06, 2022 5:54 pm

I've found myself getting into watches again which usually happens in the time between my birthday and Christmas...

I bought a SSK005 from Mimos and am really enjoying it! Btw, they still have some JDM versions available and I highly recommended it! Use code MW25 if you do. I didn't think i'd like the quirkiness of the orange sunburst being more a matte guy, but it's actually pretty subtle, and the transitioning hardlex bezel is pretty damn cool!

Today I just pulled the trigger on a SBDC143 from
Gnomon for my olongapo... after selling the black and green willards the bracelet has been unused, and this unbeknownst rendition has some vintage flair. Oh btw, seems Gnomon is giving an extra 5% off seiko and steinhart once you add to cart for the next five hours.

Now, to get back the SBDC101 I foolishly sold. You only live once, right?

So what is everyone else buying?

Nothing planned but I do want that GP laureato chrono if I can somehow sell or trade into one.

I saw your post... Welcome back other Eric. It's a looker for sure! GP is one brand i've never owned but came close a couple times on earlier divers... Certainly an under appreciated top tier brand.

Ugh... Tell me about it... I just got two sets of grips from one of the greatest revolver grip makers aside from
Keith Brown (of which I have some), via John Culina, and posted pics in the knife/gun forum. This will be my fifth set from Culina. :sigh:

0 watch incomings ATM, as I'm fighting the good fight getting a Porsche engine rebuilt after a new IMS failed, through the mechanics insurance. But you never know what around the corner...

Actually I had my eye on a 43mm SD, but the above has postponed that for now.

Nothing definitive, however I’ve been looking at orange PO’s (again) but that’s likely to be a long way down range.

Stop me if you’ve heard this before….I’m trying to slow down

It's beyond cool to see you getting into watches this time of year Eric, and that Seiko
should be fantastic which is incoming. :excited: ;) .. Santa knew you were good this year,
so something special was definitely in order this year. :santa: ..Excellent job or work sir,
and Merry Christmas ahead of time by the way !

For myself watch wise it's always kind of spontaneous to be honest. Because I literally
have dozens of watches I am looking at in my ebay history, and it's just a matter of
picking which a like the most. The problem is that a lot of my watches are often in
overseas locations for some reason. Which causes the watches to often come either
right around Christmas or sometimes even after.

And on the non watch side, I may look to get a new tennis racquet. :)

It's all kind of spontaneous with me though. ..What a cool topic sir, thanks so much just
for asking all of us !!!

Guinand Nordmeer Chrono. Hopefully I get it before the new year, if not, no big deal.

No watches incoming this year for X-Mas. I'm eyeing a few things for 2023 but no decisions yet.

...... But I do have something else on the way for X-Mas. A new Sig Sauer P226 Legion. It should be here next week.

If I bought a watch before Christmas the only thing I would get is a new hole ripped into me by the wife.
