Picked one up Friday and so far I’m enjoying it. Love the larger display for quick reference when I’m out on the mountain bike and the brighter display looks great outdoors. Battery life is good but I never ran low on my old so it’s a non-issue. One thing that I didn’t think I would use but really like is the action button. With one quick click you’ve started your workout, started your timer, turned on your flashlight, whatever you need. It’s been useful and convenient.

Is it as comfortable as the regular Apple Watch, no. Is it too large, not for us watch guys. Feels like a Tuna on the wrist if I had to compare it to anything. Am I glad I got one, yep!

Just in and going through the setup.
Fantastic smartwatch all around. Perfect size and heft without being too light and cheap or too heavy dumb. Warm Titanium color looks like Panerai - love it. Fit and finish along with premium materials feel expensive.
I’m happy

My Apple watch ultra just got in and setting up.

Wow - so much better than the base. I got the rubber strap. It is way cool the way the keeper works.

Will try for a bit after set up.

I got mine on Friday and I really like it. It’s bigger than I expected, but as others have said, it’s not “big” by the standards of a dive watch fan.

It’s nice that they’re compatible with straps from the older 45mm models, since that means my full array of strap options from my Series 6 are still useful. And I think they look great.

Part of the problem with size perception has to do with how it photographs up close. Watch fans already know the distortion when taking close up wrist shots. The watch looks great with the naked eye, but photos make people reconsider.

Here’s an example of what time talking about. All three of these photos were taken immediately after one another, just with different level of zoom. The first photo is the default and how most people would snap a pic of their wrist. The last two more accurate represent what the watch looks like in practice.

This is on the SS Milanese loop.

These look great, just read the Apple promo re battery life. Says 36hrs normal use & 60hrs extended/low power use. That 36hrs is too short for me.

I'll get at least a week + with my Garmin, and that's using it every day on the surfski recording training & events.

Yeah, I get a week with my Fenix 5, and the newer Tactix non-solar pieces are a month.

Ha Straya mate... Yeah call me lazy, when I'm hopeless at times re charging stuff. You guys will keep posting hot pics of this watch, and I'll probably fold and get one. My bro in-;aw is hot on the heels of getting one asap.

For me it's not a problem accessing power, I'm just not interested in electronic babies that need constant feeding.
